the national president on her tour of queensland
About the Presentation
For many centuries, cloistered communities in the East and West have been the primary centres of contemplative living. Fewer such communities exist today, yet many people with similar inclinations are functioning in the everyday world. What is contemplation? What does it mean to adopt a contemplative life? And how is it possible to live in such a way within the contemporary world? This presentation will look at the characteristics of a contemplative community, stages of the meditation process which lead to contemplation, and some practical suggestions for living more contemplatively in the everyday world.
