About the Presentation

Ruth Perini (Srimukti) will present knowledge from the Vedas, together with that of other religious texts such as the Ramayana, the Mahabharata and the Purānas. She will then introduce commentaries by Swami Satyadharma Saraswati on three Yoga Upanishads — Yoga Cūdāmani Upaniṣad, Yoga Tattwa Upaniṣad; Yoga Darśana Upaniṣad. The presentation will include brief practice sessions: Nāḍī śodhana prāṇāyāma, Meditation on Aum, and Meditation on the five elements.

About the Presenter

Ruth Perini (Srimukti) was for many years a teacher of yoga and meditation. Already a linguist, having graduated in French, Italian and Japanese from the Universities of Sydney and Queensland, Australia, she undertook four years of studies in Sanskrit at the Australian National University (ANU) with Dr McComas Taylor. She was invited to join the Golden Key International Society for outstanding academic achievement, as she was awarded High Distinctions throughout her Sanskrit studies. She has translated the Yoga Tattwa and Yoga Darśana Upaniṣads which have commentaries by Swami Satyadharma, as well as Nāda Bindu, Dhyānabindu, Yoga Kuṇḍalī Upaniṣads. She is currently working on the Varāha Upaniṣad.
